From old to new! Re- and upcycling in design

Target groups: Secondary level I, Secondary level II

The subject of sustainability has been on the minds of the design scene for some time. The permanent exhibition "Art + Design in Dialogue" also features numerous objects on the subject: from the "rag plate" to the "Rover-2-Seater" to the "Inflatable Stool" by Verner Panton by Verpan. Sometimes born out of necessity or an anti-attitude, they have always been forward-looking. For homeschooling and beyond: the topic of the tour can also be booked as a dialogic introduction online via Big Blue Button. There are also online suggestions for further work.

Fashion design, car design, jewelry design, media design - we are surrounded by design, but what does the term actually mean? Very special design objects are presented that are particularly beautiful and functional. Here, the tour goes beyond design criteria such as material, shape and color and also takes a close look at contemporary taste and the generation of ideas. Hands-on experiences make the experience tangible.
