You only see what you know
Directing the view and explaining objects in their context: The MAKK offers free guided tours, which are offered by the working group on weekends.
In weekly themed tours, the museum's collection is presented, connections between the objects are established and historical backgrounds are explained. In this way, the works of art gain soul, they come to life. Visiting the museum's permanent collection and special exhibitions thus becomes a dialogue for visitors.
The members of the working group prepare for the presentation with intensive research and weekly training. The result is committed discussions and background information on the museum's art treasures, which have different focuses depending on the guide. The different approaches and interests of the members open up new perspectives on the individual objects - it never gets boring.
The supporters group meets every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the MAKK.
The supporters group's tours take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 pm and are free for visitors (only the regular admission price).
